Acceptable Use & Content Policy

This policy explains what you can and can't upload to ShirtDroid, and how copyright owners can report content. It works alongside our Terms of Service. ShirtDroid is a trade name of Bright City Labs, LLC.

Content you may upload

When you upload a photo, you confirm that:

  • you own it, or you have all the rights and permissions needed to use it;
  • if a person appears in it, you have that person's consent; and
  • if a child appears in it, you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or you have the guardian's permission.

Content you may not upload

Please don't upload, or ask us to print, anything that:

  • you don't have the rights to — including someone else's copyrighted images, artwork, trademarks, brand names, or logos;
  • shows a real person without their permission, or a public figure's or celebrity's likeness without rights;
  • is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise illegal; or
  • infringes anyone's intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights.

We can refuse an order

ShirtDroid may refuse, cancel, or refund any order, and remove any uploaded content, at our discretion — for example, if we believe it breaks this policy. We may also decline to serve customers who repeatedly submit infringing content.

Copyright complaints (DMCA)

We respect intellectual-property rights and respond to valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content used on ShirtDroid infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to our designated agent that includes:

  1. your physical or electronic signature;
  2. identification of the copyrighted work you say was infringed;
  3. identification of the material you say is infringing, and enough detail for us to find it;
  4. your name, address, phone number, and email;
  5. a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law; and
  6. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

If we remove content in response to a notice, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify the person who uploaded it, who may submit a counter-notice as allowed under the DMCA. We may terminate service to repeat infringers.
